Yummy Stuff is a brilliant little food shop owned and run by a couple of foodies with a mission to provide you with great food at a reasonable price. We frequently buy straight from local producers and growers when and where it's possible. But, although we love to buy locally where we can, we realise that we are buying food on behalf of our customers and must, therefore, be high quality but must still be excellent value for money and our seasonal produce is frequently much cheaper than the supermarkets!
Everything we sell is food and drink that we would, and do, eat ourselves! We do not knowlingly sell food containing hydrogenated fats or anything else known to be harmful to health or just generally rubbish!
Also on the quality & flavour front...we know that much modern mass produced food is bulked out with wheat flour because it's a cheap ingredient. Many believe this prevalence of wheat is at least partially responsible for such high incidences of gluten intolerance. We avoid foods bulked with wheat flour and instead prefer to stock food made with proper ingredients because this is honest food which tastes of the ingredients on the label! Therefore, although we do not have a designated gluten free section, much of what we sell is in fact gluten free.
